Why Elections Matter   posted December 22, 2009

The events in Washington the last few days, and indeed the last few weeks, with all the deal-making, prove just once again why elections matter.  Many times you will hear people say there's not a nickel's worth of difference between parties, or elected officials, for that matter.  Senator Lincoln's vote to move the Senate's version of health care forward is a case in point in the difference that exists between those who value freedom and those who seek to control.

While the majority ofArkansans have made it clear in their opposition to this pending legislation, Sen. Sen. Lincoln is often quoted as saying how hard she is working for the people of Arkansas.  It has become clear this week that the senator is working hard for her party, but not for the citizens of Arkansas.
